FORTRESS - FOResT land use management for REsilient and Sustainable Societies

FORTRESS will improve forest management in Norway’s steep mountain areas and resolve land-use conflicts through an integrated approach. The project builds an interdisciplinary knowledge base that balances the protection forests provide against natural hazards, the value of timber production, biodiversity conservation, and the recreational value of forests.
