We’re happy to be one of the research partners in the new national centre for artificial intelligence – TRUST
The Research Council of Norway has selected the institutions that will be designated as national research centres for artificial intelligence (AI). One of these centres is TRUST. The core of the centre will be located in Oslo Science City, including NGI.

TRUST has shown particular interest in how NGI can leverage AI to support a sustainable and resilient society, especially in relation to natural hazards and construction challenges.
Zhongqiang Liu has led NGI's application work towards TRUST.
“NGI will collaborate closely with other research and user partners in TRUST to advance the development and application of trustworthy artificial intelligence in engineering geosciences,” says Zhongqiang Liu.
“We are particularly focused on natural hazards, construction challenges, and geo-monitoring. Through interdisciplinary cooperation, NGI aims to integrate AI into geo-monitoring, physical modelling, laboratory and field testing, and numerical analyses – pushing the boundaries of innovation in geoengineering.”
